Install LSBS

Choose an installation method

Add a server from Console → Add server. The recommended method gives you a one-use command to run on the target. Assisted installation can use an SSH password or private key on port 22.

• One-use command: no SSH secret is shared with lsbs.cloud.
• Assisted password: accepted only when a worker is available and never written to PostgreSQL.
• Assisted private key: held in a mutable memory buffer and erased after worker handoff.

What happens

1. The bootstrap validates the one-use token and supported Ubuntu release.
2. Ubuntu package indexes and installed packages are fully updated.
3. If Ubuntu requires a reboot, a root-owned one-shot continues once after restart.
4. The signed Base repository installs the LSBS foundation.
5. Monitoring—and managed control when selected—enrol with separate per-server identities.

The portal shows durable progress through updating, rebooting, installing, and completion. A stalled job becomes an explicit failure instead of blocking the queue forever.

After installation

Open the WebAdmin address shown by the installer and finish Guided setup. Premium access never installs optional modules automatically: choose them later from the module catalogue after reviewing their dependency plan.
